In all seriousness I wanna put together a slammed OBS, I wanna go low AF and hopefully have enough for a rowdy high RPM circle track powerplant. I'm thinking 6/7 drop, but ill be lurking the dropped & bagged threads for ideas, I wanna just go with a 15" steelies, maybe a set of chrome reverse wheels, or widened silver or white wheels depending on the truck color, I had a line on a killer 91 but the deal just fell thru. But I am on the hunt for another, I wanna build something ridiculous, but fun.

Would these even fit with a 2/4 drop on my 97 Suburban 1500, they’re 22x9, My Father just gave me the truck he bought it new still in nice condition.

You could do 6lug c2500 rotors in the front and adapters in rear, or a 14bolt semi float 6 lug axle and swap your rear sway bar over.

Thank you, I’ll have to hunt down a 6 lug rear axle at a pull a part salvage yard.

I love this truck and really don’t want to modify it too much because of all the original things on it, still have all the original floor mats, mudflaps, little seatbelt holders all that. But I really want some new wheels, might just go with some us mags they’re 5 lugs

I vote keeping it 5 lug, and hang on to those stock wheels. GMT400 burbs are skyrocketing in value.

100%. Stock GMT-400s with low miles and all stock in good condition are selling close to original sticker on BAT now. People my age who grew up riding in and learning to drive on these trucks want them now.

If you do drop it, keep the stock suspension parts too.

Exactly this. That's why I'm keeping all my stock stuff on mine when I make mods to it. I got dropped off to school from grade 3 thru high school in mine. Not-so-fun fact, I was actually borrowing it from my grandparents on 9-11-01 to pick up some new cylinder heads for my 83 C10 when I found out about the terrorist attacks on the radio.

Yeah I’m only 21 and my dad bought it the year I was born and we’ve taken countless trips in it throughout my whole life, it sat for about 7 years. Only thing that seems to be damaged is the clear coat. I’ve had a new trans put in and replaced battery, alt, starter, tune up kit and now I think it need new injectors because I have a random misfire code. All in all the truck is in great condition

160k on motor and body, fully rebuilt transmission cost me a good bit, has beige leather interior and the common drivers seat rip,headliner is pristine, dealer installed intercom system from 1997 Lol and it still has a Motorola car phone. The only thing my dad had installed was an aftermarket head unit and subwoofers. He removed both before he gave it to me. Still has original spare and spare tire cover.

Drove to a local cruise in today. Opted to not drive the scat pack. The OBS has had the interior out for a month now with rebuilding the dash and awaiting my Holley to arrive. So I threw the seats in and rock it with no dash to the meet. Eff the haters. Lol

Hey all, thought I would post my latest "barn find." Found a 3500 dually in bad shape and picked her up for $7500. She has a 4/6 static with a late model Camaro SS motor and ECU paired to a 4L80E. I have begun the process of stripping her down for Bondo repair/primer/paint/clear in my garage. Unfortunately her big a$$ is too big to fit in my garage so it will be a slow build. Here are some before and afters of her! Hope she turns out as well as my 1500. She started as a Chevy, but I love the GMC front clips so I had to convert her lol.
