I have '01 Chevy Silverado with 4.7 v8. If I turn the temp knob to hot and use the heat, then a bit later go back to AC, the AC only blows hot. Very hot. And it's impossible to get it to cool down at all. Letting it sit for a few hours has cured the problem a few times. Then the AC is back to normal. This keeps happening! Any ideas?
Anyone know where I can find instructions for how to get at the blend doors and determine which motor to replace? My aftermarket manual doesn't mention this at all.
if the blend door is going out, it's not overly complicated to change, but it is a gigantic pain in the ass. at least for the passenger side. the drivers side is, well, still working, but what i've read, much easier to replace
