So was out last night and someone backed into me so the front bumper on my truck got pushed back a little bit Im pretty sure if i can loosen some bolts it will push back out but there is so many goddamn bolts under I was wondering if anyone has taken them off yet. Its not the whole front bumper just that little section on the passenger side.
here is a pic incase you dont know wut i am talking about but there is the 2 painted pieces on the sides just the passenger side one is pushed in about 2 inches so it sticks in the wheel well a little bit any help would be awesome thanks
People can't drive for shit I swear. This happen in a parking lot I assume.
You really need to remove the headlight to get that piece off more easily since there are a few push in plastic fasteners right underneath the headlamp. To save you aggravation too, one screw for the headlight is behind the plastic wheel well btw if you never removed a headlight before.
Yea actually a drive way ha but yea same concept no I havent taken off the headlight but i did see one bolt when I was looking earlier right behind the bumper I guess I will start by taken the headlight out and see how it goes
So I got 3 bolts out for the headlight now I dont wanna sound stupid but does it just pull out it dont want to ha go figure that one it feels like its wedged in there or there might be another bolt which I cannot see anywere
Its wedged, finesse it out. Did you remove the grille first? Grille comes off first before the headlights. Then remove the plastic strips at the top of the end caps. Then crawl under and remove the 10mm bolts holding the bottom valance on and pull it off. Then loosen a few of the 10mm bolts holding the end cap to the center, peel back the end cap to reveal the bolts holding the front bar on.
good god so I got to remove the grille before the headlight so how many other things am i gonna have to take off before i can get the headlight out to lol
Nevermind, shit I thought you were talking about the center piece. My bad. But the removal is the same. The end cap is flexible with a steel backing. You might be able to take it off with all the 10mm around it, and pop it out.
Well got the headlight out and the vinyl piece I didnt no thats wut it was I thought it was hard plastic. Cant see wut parts bent wut do yins think my options are loosin up the bolts see if it will twist back or i guess a comealong might be the last option.
Well got everything apart today got it bent back as best as its gonna get its not to awful bad just a little dent now but its lined up had to use a comealong to get it to pull back out
This is precisely why I haven't cleared my headlights, all that PITA crap that has to come off, been there done that. Plus I'd have to loosen and remove the 3/8" bolts holding my gg on and remove that...don't wanna do that, it's a two person job.

Well, it doesn't take 5 min with the perfectly sized gg (JB and 08chevy), that has to come off.
