My front wheel bearing failed finally after 100,000 miles on my Nnbs 2007 1500. I ordered a Timken to replace it but I'm wondering if or how to get the bearing out of the old hub so I can press a new one in and have it as a spare since these things are so dang expensive.
Id buy a second one...if one went out, the other is right behind it. Ive never seen/heard of people replacing the bearing only...its always been entire hub assembly
Yeah, they are replaced as the whole hub assembly. If you bought a Timken, it should last a good while. The cheap China made ones will not last and you will be doing the job again soon.

DO THIS!!!! Replace the entire assembly, that's how they are sold. You'll need a BFH 3lb one.
I didn't and paid for it.
