My buddy at works truck had a check engine light so we scanned it and it said heater in oxygen sensor bad BANK 2 SENSOR 2.

He wants to change the sensor himself but which one is it?

He has a 2001 Chevy Silverado RCSB 5.3L 4L60E

I agree with everything said above. Should be passenger side past the cats. And 6"-10" of wire. The connector will be slid on to a clip that pushes into the body or frame, can't remember which. You can pull the whole clip out, or just slip the o2 sensor off the clip. Be sure to coat the threads with a penetrating lubricant to help the removal. I've seen some screw up threads or even break off when coming out. Worst case if it won't come out with a little help and effort, put some fire to the "bung" it's screwed into, but try not to heat up the sensor itself.

Oh, and it's easier if you disconnect it before trying to unscrew it...... ask me how I know..... hahaha
